The New for Spring page on the Pleasant Company Publications homepage is back up, showing all the new covers and publications.

On amazon.com you find the new books already too, listed at $ 5.49 each, and the Samantha's, Kit's and Molly's Mystery Party Games at $ 11.53 each.

    Thanks for the heads up

Alas, though no new covers for Felicity - could they be waiting for the movie [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] - I hope so. Has anyone heard if they are even working on a new movie? Maybe I missed something, but shouldn't they be almost done if they intend to release in the fall or winter? Or is it going to be every other year?

Also, new books for Angelina Ballerina maybe they aren't going to discontinue her after all.

Monika, I heard from CS and the people at AGPC that AG no longer has the licensing agreement with Hit Entertainment, who owns AB. Whether they lost it or declined to renew I'm not sure. But I think AG will still have the books.

Editing to add that I just remembered it was fall 2002 when I first heard the rumors about AB being retired. It was from an eBay seller I had purchased something from who mentioned it. I have no idea how she knew so long ago other than she does live in Madison area.

I wish there was a Kirsten mystery. She was always my favorite.

The PS told me that they are definitely discontinuing the AB line. I think they will continue to sell the current stock till they completely sell out. Then that will be the end. They will probably always have some books.

Thanks for letting us know these are back up! I briefly glanced at them before, but didn't get a chance to really study them.

Something I noticed...I'm being really picky here. Molly's book says it takes place Summer 1944. Does that mean it takes place before Meet Molly? I always assumed that took place October 1944 since it was Halloween. The others seem to be ok - I assume Samantha's HAS to be 1906 if Nellie and her sisters are living with her. Kit's says 1935, but if her books really started with 1932 that would be about right.

I'm another one (well, actually DD is one) who is excited about the Angelina books!

I'm not crazy about all the new covers, although the anal-collector in me will most likely buy them. They look too flashy and modern. It takes away from some of the historical charm IMO.

Yeah, I kind of like the old covers with the white border. They just looked... classy, I guess. Not that the new ones are bad, they just aren't as nice to me.

The new covers are very pretty and the mysteries sound cool, I love a good mystery! Kind of disappointed no new Kirsten books tho, not even new covers I hope AG doesn't decide to go retiring Kirsten on me

Thanks for the info! Is it just me, or do the girls not look quite "right" on the covers of the mystery books? I'm sure it's a different illustrator but they just don't look like their "regular" selves to me.
